Frequently asked questions, Products

Virgin hair is 100% human hair that has not been processed or had chemical treatment in any way. It is also refered to as ‘cuticle hair’. When hair is harvested from a donor, the cuticle remains intact. The cuticle protects the hair from damage. Virgin hair can be dyed any colour you like.
Lace Front Wigs are wigs that only have lace in the front of the wig and the remainder of the wig is made from a regular netted wig cap or other similar materials. The lace in the front blends in with your skin to create the illusion that the hair is growing from your own scalp and thus a natural looking hairline. Most lace wigs have adjustable straps and wig combs to ensure that the wigs fit your head securely. These wigs can therefore be parted anywhere in the front and can be pulled back into a low ponytail.

Full Lace Wigs are Lace wigs which are designed with the entire wig cap being made from lace as well as lace all around the perimeter of the wig. Full lace wigs allow you to wear your hair in high up dos and ponytails. Upon applying & adhering the lace wig, a flawless, natural and undetectable hairline is created.

Futura refers to the type of material from which the hair is made. Futura is the highest quality synthetic fibre that looks completely natural and is heat resistant up to 400F. This means that you can use heating appliances to style your futura lace wig to the style that you like. Once you wash your wig the style returns to its natural condition and you can then style it again as you like. Futura is both affordable and more manaegeable than most human hair fibres. It can however not be coloured or permed.
No, the lace wigs are fitted with adjustable straps and wig combs which hold securely on your head. If you are concerned about doing certain activities (e.g swimming) it is advisable that you sew the wig into your hair as you would do a normal wefted wig.
Yes, when you wear the lace wigs correctly, the hairline will have a natural look, just similar to your own hair growing from your scalp.
The life of your wig or weave will depend on your use and how well you take care of it as well as on the quality of hair purchased. In order to protect your hair, it is advisable to wear a hair net at night to prevent the hair from tangling. Remy hair, Virgin hair and Human hair can often last 12 months if treated well. Futura wigs last 3 – 6 months. Synthetic material (non futura) usually last 2 – 3 months.
This depends on the type of lace wig. Futura lace front wigs can be straightened and curled and can resist heat up to 400F. Remy lace wigs are made of human hair and can therefore also be styled as you like using household styling tools such as curling irons and flat irons. Regular synthetic weaves can not be styled but are ready styled. Just remember that like natural hair, the hair can get damaged with the excessive use of heating appliances
We recommend using 2-3 packs for a full head of hair, unless specified as one style pack.
All wigs can benefit from fine-tuning by a professional stylist. One of the secrets to successfully wearing a wig is having it styled on your head to suit your features.
You can use regular sulfate free shampoo that is used for natural hair. Sulfate shampoo can cause the hair to strip which cause dryness and tangling. If using conditioner ensure that it is diluted with water as conditioner. Visit our hair care products page for recommended products.
We recommend washing your hair with regular sulfate free. The hair can be blow-dried on low setting, but it is not recommended to do it too often. It is best to let your hair dry naturally after washing. Visit our hair care products page for recommended products.
Fill a basin with warm water. Add a small amount of shampoo. Swish the wig gently around in the basin. Rinse it thoroughly in cool water. Shake it out and hang to drip dry. Do not brush it, blow dry or heat style it while wet as this can damage the fibre.
If you have 100% human hair on, you can curl or style your hair as much as you want to but just always make sure that you read the instructions on the label of the product because some weaves may require a heat up to a certain level. You can also curl your weave at home if you have your own curling iron.
WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT PUT ANY OIL OR SPRAYS ON SYNTHETIC HAIR, YOU BEST WEARING IT AS IS FROM THE PACK. If the hair is 100% human hair treat this hair just as if it was your own hair. Use good quality shampoo and conditioning products. Conditioning your hair is very important to keep it soft and manageable. You can also use products like gel and hair spray to keep the curls in place, but make sure to wash your hair and not leave in these products in for a long time.
